Lisa Prinz is a licensed attorney who has been working as an underwriter of nonprofit accounts for most of her 30-year career in the insurance sector. Her career began at Philadelphia Insurance Company where she served as VP of underwriting and product development. She started the Harleysville/Nationwide Insurance program for nonprofits as well. Lisa has served on the NRMC board since 2009 and has chair several board committees. She divides her time between NJ and Florida.
During the last two decades the NRMC team has observed the evolving role of legal professionals in the risk and ERM functions of both U.S. and international nonprofits. A recent report from Clyde & Co. includes the observation that “In today’s environment, the role of the GC has moved from reactive legal reviews to proactive strategic engagement.” This session explores the emerging challenges and opportunities that are shifting the focus of work led by in-house counsel.
