Curiosity and and an open mindset are required, but we do not require that you have any prior risk management training or experience.

PROGRAM FAQS

Q.How is this program different from the Risk Leadership Certificate Program (RLCP)?

A.The program is different in three key ways. First, the Emerging Risk Leaders Certificate Program, or ERLCP, is ideal for any nonprofit staff member who wants to deepen their skills and knowledge in risk management. NRMC’s RLCP is designed for senior risk leaders with demonstrated experience and risk responsibility. Second, the Emerging Risk Leaders Certificate Program is entirely virtual, while RLCP is an immersive, in-person experience hosted at NRMC headquarters in Leesburg, VA. Third, the program requires 9 hours of participation in virtual workshops with homework in-between sessions. RLCP consists of 40 hours of in-person instruction and learning in addition to homework assignments and required reading.
