Founding Partner & Attorney, Glotfelty PLLC
Thaddeus (Ted) Glotfelty is a seasoned attorney with deep expertise in federal and internal investigations, compliance counseling, risk mitigation, and proactive defense strategies. After nearly two decades spanning both private practice and public service—including as the head of investigations at the U.S. AbilityOne Commission Office of Inspector General (OIG)—Ted founded Glotfelty PLLC to fill a critical gap in the AbilityOne community: access to high-quality legal services tailored to its unique regulatory environment. Drawing on his training as a United States special agent and legal expertise in investigations and business law, Ted now brings practical, informed legal solutions to help the AbilityOne community strengthen compliance, protect their federal contracts, and navigate the increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
Ted holds a J.D. from George Mason Law School, an M.A. in Economics from George Mason University, and a B.A. from James Madison University. He is also a graduate with honors from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s special agent program.
Recent developments show that both federal law enforcement agencies and Congress are increasing scrutiny of nonprofit organizations, with investigations spanning compliance, fraud, political activity, and potential links to extremism – how prepared is your organization if investigators come knocking?
Drawing on experience as former federal attorneys and investigators – including as the former head of two federal offices of investigations – this fast-paced, interactive session will help demystify the investigative process through mock governmental inquiries and practical real-world examples. Attendees will leave with strategies to effectively identify and mitigate risk early, and how to respond effectively when issues arise.
