Ellen Shew Holland, ARM

Ellen Shew Holland, ARM is the principal and founder of Strategic Risk Frameworks, a risk advisory firm, where she applies over 3 decades of experience aligning risk strategy and value for clients.  Established in 2018 and based in the Plano, TX, US, she provides strategic enterprise risk guidance as well as outsourced operational risk services. Her clients include non-profits, construction, real estate investment, global mining, education and she has served as an expert witness. She provides innovative and effective technology solutions, as a consulting partner with a UK GRC software firm for her Strategic Enterprise Risk program and has a unique ability to develop structure out of disparate concepts and while helping her clients develop a strengthened risk culture. Prior to consulting she was a Chief Risk Officer in higher education where she focused on risk finance and resilience.

Ms. Shew Holland is a member and of the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS), a Past President and member of the University Risk Management & Insurance Association (URMIA), the Private Directors Association, the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance and has served as an expert content creator for the International Board Director Competency Designation (IBDC.D). She has a BS from Purdue University, a MS Finance from University of Denver, and her Associates in Risk Management from The Institutes. She advises Purdue’s Boilermaker Consulting Group on Risk and is on the board of the Purdue Rowing Association.
