David Kyllo founded Kyllo Consulting in 2016 after a nearly 20-year career holding senior executive and board member positions with various subsidiaries of one of the largest, Fortune 500 international insurance holding companies.  Kyllo Consulting focuses on assisting entities with understanding and managing a diverse range of strategic and tactical issues related to the start-up, operation, and wind-down of traditional insurance program and alternative risk funding mechanisms.  David is a licensed attorney in the states of Minnesota and Colorado, as well as a licensed insurance producer in Minnesota. 

Beyond professional experience in the insurance and risk management industry, since 2016 David has also been an adjunct Assistant Professor at the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, where he has taught graduate-level courses in nonprofit human resources management, labor relations, and compensation and benefits.  David has taught using a variety of learning formats (and learning management systems), including in person, hybrid, and on-line (both synchronous and asynchronous).  David was also a contributing author to the recently published book Global HR: Strategic Thinking and Talent Management in an International Workforce.
