Many nonprofit teams continue to use increasingly complex spreadsheets to track top risks and produce heat maps for risk reporting. The problem with that approach? As spreadsheets grow from four to fourteen and forty columns, the information they contain becomes more cryptic. Worse, risk leaders spend too much time chasing colleagues to fill every box and too little time on productive risk conversations.
