Chapman & Associates Increases Support of Nonprofit Risk Management Center, Becomes a Corporate Sustainer
The Nonprofit Risk Management Center is pleased to announce that Chapman & Associates, based in Pasadena, Calif., has joined the Center’s Corporate Sustainers Program. Chapman is the largest insurance brokerage organization in the Western United States providing insurance and risk management assistance exclusively for nonprofit organizations and social service agencies.
“Chapman has been a supporter of the Nonprofit Risk Management Center for a number of years now,” says Melanie Lockwood Herman, executive director of the Center, a nonprofit serving other nonprofits risk management strategy through consulting, training, online tools and publications. “Chapman’s elevated commitment to the corporate sustainer level will enable the Center to make its resources available to more nonprofit organizations across the USA.”

Nonprofit Risk Management Center and the Corporate Sustainers Program
The Nonprofit Risk Management Center was established in 1990 to provide assistance and resources for community-serving nonprofit organizations. As a nonprofit itself, the Center is uniquely positioned to both understand and respond to questions with practical, affordable suggestions for controlling risks that threaten a nonprofit’s ability to accomplish its mission. Participants in the Corporate Sustainers Program pay an annual fee to the Center, which supports the Center’s technical assistance program and covers the cost of corporate sponsorship of the Center’s annual Risk Management and Finance Summit for Nonprofits (Sept. 18-20, 2006, at the Westin Pasadena, Pasadena, Calif.).
